  1. Starbucks has been planning a phaseout of its iconic paper cups. According to a recent article published on Upworthy, Starbucks serves around 6 billion disposable cups per year. With many of those recyclable cups tossed into the landfill, Starbucks wants to make a change and step away from “throwaway” culture. The plan is to phase out the disposable cup completely by 2025.
