With recent inflation, eating at more traditional quick-service restaurants which tends to lean on the cheaper side has increased. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, it was found that prices of food purchased away from home has increased 6.9% over 2021, and is expected to increase between 5.5-6.5% more in 2022. These increases are due to higher fuel prices, transportation issues, and labor shortages that restaurants are facing nationwide.

Since the pandemic, we have seen a large increase as consumers are opting for food delivery more than ever before. This is due to many reasons, but one major reason is consumers getting bored of their usual at-home meals that they have been cooking for so long.
