- Panera is testing AI voice ordering at two of their Rochester, New York locations. This test is in partnership with OpenCity’s proprietary AI assistant, “Tori”. The process is simple: Panera customers will pull up to the drive-thru, place their order with “Tori”, and then pay at the window. In case of any technical issues, employees will be standing by.

- As of Monday, August 29th, China has suspended some meat imports from Tyson Foods Inc. This suspension affects products from a plant owned by Tyson Fresh Meats Inc., the beef and pork subsidiary, due to a failed producer inspection. As an update, Tyson shared in an email statement that “We work closely with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service to ensure that we produce all of our food in full compliance with government safety requirements”.
