- On Thursday, June 16th, President Biden signed a bill that will keep ocean freight shipping costs from rising. “I promised to crack down on ocean carriers whose price hikes have hurt American families and American businesses,” stated President Biden as he signed the Ocean Shipping Reform Act. Those in favor of the bill state that it will help to ease inflation.

- Foodservice establishments in Illinois have until January 2023 to find a latex glove alternative. Due to many people having allergic reactions to latex, it was a no-brainer to Gov. JB Pritzker when he signed this new law. Whether it’s an employee that will be handling the food with latex gloves, or a customer enjoying food handled with latex gloves, the state of Illinois is hoping to protect those allergic to latex with this law.

- According to Economic Times, fuel shortage in India is the newest clog in the supply chain. As if the pandemic wasn’t enough, it’s been reported that the lack of diesel has created a lag in shipping speed. In some areas of India, the only form of transportation is by truck. This poses a huge issue. If the shortage can’t be sorted out, this will begin to affect the retail and manufacturing industries.
