With recent inflation, eating at more traditional quick-service restaurants which tends to lean on the cheaper side has increased. In a recent study by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, it was found that prices of food purchased away from home has increased 6.9% over 2021, and is expected to increase between 5.5-6.5% more in 2022. These increases are due to higher fuel prices, transportation issues, and labor shortages that restaurants are facing nationwide.
